The state's welfare reform program, Work First NJ, emphasizes work as the first step toward building a new life and a brighter future. Our goal is to help people get off welfare, secure employment and become self-sufficient, through job training, education and work activities. The YWCA of Central NJ is a vendor for Workfirst NJ.

TWIN volunteers, local businesses and government agencies will collectively provide professional development for the YWCA Career Options Center participants in an effort to help women become gainfully employed.


Target Audience: Career Options Center participants and women from the general public


Professional Development provided by past and present TWIN honorees, local businesses and government agencies

TWIN MANAGEMENT FORUM (TMF)
2012 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

​
The TWIN Management Forum (TMF) of Central New Jersey is a network of executive and professional women. Most have received the Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) award locally sponsored by the YWCA of Central Jersey. This award is given to women who have excelled
in their fields and made significant contributions to
industry in their professional roles.

The TMF of Central NJ offers a Scholarship Program to support its commitment to the ongoing educational advancement of women. The scholarships must be used for education-related expenses. The scholarship fund has helped women from all walks of life that face tough challenges pursue their higher education and career-related dreams, awarding more than $ 75,000 over the life of the program.
